Concept for B2B Data Management system (2005)

A core function of the product I designed this UI for was to present reams of gridded data in logical groupings. Anyone who's worked in B2B software has encountered such an application and the interface is typically as dry and colorless as the data itself -- usually because it was created by a Developer and not a Designer. UI Designers too often avoid projects like these because they offer too few opportunities to create splashy graphics and vibrant color schemes. But these are the projects that need Designers the most. I used vibrant colors to drive the workflow and spread the "splash" more evenly. The result was a visually appealing and visually logical interface a User will be less inclined to complain about using.
