search for apartments by neighborhood (2012)

When RentSocial was launched in March of 2012, Users were invited to search for, review and rate apartments for rent -- among many other things. Soon after, a decision was made to extend this functionality to both whole neighborhoods and cities. In my design for this feature shown here, we see the progression from the very first sketch. For most elements of this feature, a straight line can be drawn from this sketch, through the prototype, to the coded screen. When so many of the initial ideas survive to code, especially past the prototyping stage, it's a welcome time-saver for everyone.
