ux case study

ux for your dev team

A UX Designer must often consider not just his Users, but what the other teams on his project will find palatable as well. Such was the case in 2013 when I found myself charging ahead on designs for which formalized requirements were spotty and delivery dates were aggressive. The Dev team all worked in another state and outnumbered my Design team by a factor of eight. Some devs disliked formal documentation. Others weren't native English speakers. I'd already pared down the detail on my wireframes to core functionality and now it was time to focus on edge cases. By framing my solution in as engaging a way possible, I was able to get every one of the devs on the same page in just one call.
